Day 42 (April 30) Soon Maybe?

Breakfast: yogurt with raspberries and almonds
Lunch, Roasted red pepper soup and salad
Dinner: Blade steak, glazed carrots, steamed garlic and asparagus

Missed my cold shower today and I felt it! Had to have one when I got home just to make up for it. They really do have a big impact on the overall day. I am looking forward to trying a full immersion just to see how it feels.
The more community events I attend, the more I am observing about our community.  How can we preach to eat healthy and yet supply people with grain products and encourage them to eat it. I understand that people are used to eating this way, but how else are we to set an example?  We don't supply it, we show our community that there are foods that do not require the dangerous toxins involved in grains. I believe this is something we really need to look at because it has to stop. We have ensure the safety of our people so that future generations can be healthy and active and live longer lives. If we continue to kill ourselves, then what is the point of the fight for land cause we won't be here long enough to enjoy it.  We're giving away our ways, our children through diabetes and heart disease, why not the land too.. If we are going to fight for land claims and rights as indigenous peoples, then we should make sure our future is healthy enough to enjoy our hard work
