Day 45 (May 3) One Dip at a Time

Breakfast: yogurt with blueberries and trail mix
Lunch: roast beef with roasted vegetables
Dinner: raw broccoli with some beef jerky

Taking a Dip in the Niagara Whirlpool is my first outdoor immersion experience, although it wasn't a full immersion. Our weekly hike day and we dragged Samantha out with us. I have become more comfortable with the giant amount of stairs going down. One foot per stair, as opposed to when I first started those things.  We hiked down, the muddy trail since it rained days before and made it to the gorgeous whirlpool. Now this is where it got interesting. Normally I walk down to the water and dip my hands in and wash my face with the water, which I did do.  Then I see Mitch taking his shoes off... Uh Oh! Yup there he goes into the water.... Well of course I need to try this. AND ITS COLDDDDDD!!!  As you can see on my face (picture above), its a shock to the system. But surprisingly, it feels amazing at the same time. The rocks are a little rough on the feet but overall an amazing experience. Both Mitch and Samantha went in neck deep which was sooo cool to see.  The hike back up is getting easier. Well maybe not easier cause I am still dying through the process. but I am getting better at the end, and my asthma isn't acting up like the first time I did it. The combination of all of these are definitely getting better.  And I foresee more immersions in my near future
