Breakfast: trail mix
Lunch: montreal smoked meat platter with garden salad and coleslaw
no Dinner Just some dark chocolate
Travelling back from Montreal today. Ate my last Montreal meal which consisted of a large portion of smoked meat which was beyond delicious. I have found that I am eating a lot of vegetables and protein, but my hunger levels are way down. It feels like a walk in the park to go 18 hours without eating. Now I understand that many people are against fasting or missing meals and under normal circumstances, I may agree, however with this type of eating and the amount of fat stores I have, fasting is actually a good thing. The reason that I am no hungry is that I am getting enough of the energy/nutrients from both my stores and the high quality of foods that I am eating. I am still getting my daily needs, but I don't need to constantly eat to feel sustained anymore.
I think this is a huge issue in our community and society. When you eat foods that have no nutritional value, your body tells your brain that you need more food, hence more meals and more snacks. This is a way I used to eat and where did it get me? I had too many fat stores and not enough energy.
So when you notice someone missing a meal, don't assume they are starving themselves, maybe they really aren't hungry.
