Day 56 (May 14): HIIT

Breakfast: trail mix with blueberries and yogurt
Lunch: water
Dinner: pork chop with asparagus, bacon wrapped mushrooms and salad

Sooooo here I thought the weekly hikes were going to drive me crazy. I was so very wrong.  Mitch has officially introduced High Intensity Interval Training. I have read about it before when I was going to the gym but never really thought about it in regards to traditional way of life.  Mitch of course sent me a wide array of further readings so that I am fully aware of what I am doing. I am telling ya, it is not easy and I could not believe I survived it. There was the introductary walk which comes with anything physical, and we walked to a park. I absolutely despise people watching me when I do anything physical but I also realize I need to get over it and Mitch put is nicely when he told me no body cares lol... The best part of this workout was Mitch running with me and encouraging.  For me running is not easy and I am definitely one to give up quick. When there is someone right beside me pushing me forward, it drives the motivation so I was able to get through it.  So my hiit included a 40 yard sprint and walk back. We did 8 of those... 8!! I know it doesn't sound like a lot but it was a big accomplishment for me.
