Headed back to St Catharines today and was lucky enough that my mother got me some dirt for my planter pots. A few weeks back I planted some seeds and they are sprouting so I am very excited to be able to grow something. I have made a commitment that I will not let them die this year hahaha.
After getting dropped off at my apartment, I immediately got to the dirt digging. I transplanted some flowers into the pots because my landlord is doing a garden in the front yard. I also planted my lettuce which is growing quickly and I am beyond happy that one day soon I'll be eating my own lettuce :)
I really got into the dirt and digging and planting to the point that I ran out of things to plant. This weekend I am going to have to pick up some flowers and continue my outdoor adventures. It feels good to be able to get into the dirt and direct my energy to things that are growing and will help me feel better when I'm down. Not to mention the feeling that I get when I see the planter pots look so pretty and know that I did it
I encourage everyone to get dirty once in a while. It's amazing what it does to the emotional well being and that connection to Mother Earth
